My unpaid housework. Yes I’m sexing it up here with a bit of leg but it’s not pretty, I rarely enjoy doing the washing, cooking, taking out the trash and I don’t iron - so don’t really dress up for the occasion.

The next Financy Women’s Index will tell you just how long we are likely to wait to see equality in unpaid work.

Anyone prepared to guess?

It’s taken me to 41 to realise that in business
It’s taken me to 41 to realise that in business as well as life, surround yourself with great people and don't be afraid of sharing ideas on values/projects that you really believe in. In short turn your business "ME into WE!"

Meet the Financy company board. This is me turning start-up ME into WE. Here are a team of talented women, some of whom I have known for a decade, yet for some reason I have only just asked for their support to transform and grow Financy. To my delight they have said yes to joining me as advisers on projects, strategy and probably the highs and low in business and to helping shape how we can all tackle gender financial equality in the home, at work, and socially.

Thank you for supporting the mission and for helping women progress Connie Mckeage Nicki Hutley Cathryn Lyall Judith Beck Kristin Westlake 韦思婷

Be financially fearless and pay your future self first. This may sound obvious but often we pay for everything else first, just like we do everything for everyone else first, before we pay attention to our needs. Taking action on closing the financial gender inequality gap is as much about you as it is about systemic failures or corporate behaviours having to change.

Paying yourself first, even a small sum, brings #mentalhealth benefits, #financialprogress #increasedconfidence and less resentment.

Oh and there’s no room for guilt here, tell that thought to get lost!
