Daniel Baxter

Daniel is one of the Co-founders of Your Hot Property and is passionate about helping people sell their home and purchase their next one. Daniel loves helping and championing strong and independent women. He's seen first hand what a difference it can make, not only to bank balances but also with their confidence and life in general. In 2012, Daniel, along with his mother and Co-founder Lorri, and wife Lisa, launched their business with the aim of homeowners get a better deal when selling and buying their next property. They don't believe in expensive agent commissions and instead charge a fair fixed fee. They also believe in involving the owner in the sale process and believe that's one of the key reasons they can achieve such great results for their clients. Since launching their business Daniel has helped sell over $320 million worth of property and saved his clients over 8 million in expensive agent fees.

2021 is all about taking action to improve gender
2021 is all about taking action to improve gender financial equality. With the help of some friends, I’ve put together a to do list (link in bio or visit Financy.com.au) for women, businesses and government on the key things that we can do to make an impact for young generations of women and men.

We must try focusing on five areas: paid and unpaid work, leadership, education and wealth (superannuation).

What are you doing to take action this year?

This year I’m project managing our house build and I had this radical idea of putting together a construction team of 50/50 women to men. That idea of course shouldn’t be radical but in a male dominated industry it is and it’s sparked conversation about whether I will find the quality craftsmanship (craftswomanship) missing or be unable to reach the 50/50 goal in 2021.
But I’m determined to get there and am putting the call out to female tradies in northern nsw or who want the work to get in touch.
Why am I doing this? Well besides being the founder of the Women’s Index which measures Australia’s progress towards gender financial equality each quarter, I want to do my bit to lead by example and ensure some of that whopping $2 billion cash blow out in home builder contracts actually reaches female pockets to the same or similar extent of men’s.
#Financybuild here we come!

My year review for women: #covid_19, gender employment inequality, rising domestic violence against women, rising unpaid work, raids on superannuation despite gender gap, declining birth and marriage rate, less female ceos in Australia, highest paid person is a woman, Free childcare, no free childcare, women on boards increases, less women enrol in studies after high school, more enrol in IT studies, more women’s money platforms launched, products becoming more targeted and yet gender lens and policy is still a niche area. Mental health support services report being under resources And despite it all women are feeling more optimistic than men - yet not many of us remember being surveyed for that report! #financy #womensindex

I’d say the Kardashian empire has advanced women because of the savvy of their business model and freedom in making it work their way.
